SPICE - Smart Data Pipelines for the Cognitive Compute Continuum
Call: Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic
Dates: -
Abstract
SPICE focuses on the development of intelligent and privacy-aware data pipelines for the Cognitive Compute Continuum, enabling secure and efficient data processing across cloud, edge, and distributed computing infrastructures. The project aims to facilitate trustworthy data sharing and interoperability within emerging European data spaces while ensuring compliance with privacy and security requirements.
Research activities include the development of privacy-preserving data-processing techniques, anonymization methods, and secure data-management solutions for distributed AI systems operating across heterogeneous computing environments. The project also investigates scalable mechanisms for integrating Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) into cloud-edge infrastructures to support secure collaborative analytics and AI-driven services.
The resulting technologies aim to improve secure data exchange, interoperability, and trustworthy AI deployment across next-generation distributed computing ecosystems.
