Abstract
ÉGIDA focused on the development of advanced cybersecurity and privacy technologies through a collaborative Spanish research network involving academia, research centers, and industry partners. The project aimed to strengthen research and innovation capabilities in trustworthy artificial intelligence, cybersecurity analytics, privacy-preserving technologies, and industrial security systems.
Research activities included the investigation of explainable AI methods for cybersecurity applications, anomaly and intrusion detection systems for industrial and critical infrastructures, privacy-protection mechanisms, and secure data-analysis methodologies. The project also explored interpretable machine-learning approaches to improve transparency and accountability in AI-assisted cybersecurity systems.
The resulting technologies contributed to advancing trustworthy and explainable cybersecurity solutions for industrial, enterprise, and critical-infrastructure environments.
